On Wednesday 8th September, a group of 8 residents from Oriel Lodge along with two staff went on day outing to The Ulster American Folk Park. They left Belturbet at around 10 am and travel to Omagh by coach and had lunch on arrival in the canteen.
During the trip everyone had an excellent time touring around thatched cottages of old world Ulster. The residents were also able to board a replica boat which takes you across the Atlantic to log cabins of America .During the tour; people have the opportunity to meet costumed characters with traditional crafts who explain the life style of that time.
When our residents came back to Belturbet, they went to a local restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal. Everyone on the trip had a great day.
