One option for tenants wanting to move to a different area or estate is to seek a mutual exchange. This is where one tenant ‘swaps’ homes with another tenant with the agreement of the landlord or landlords. There are a number of conditions that need to be met before a mutual exchange can be approved – contact your Housing Officer for more details. You can also access further information by downloading our leaflet on transfers here.
You can advertise here on the website if you are interested in swapping with another tenant. Contact your Housing Officer to arrange this. Please note that Clúid takes no responsibility for details listed on this page. It is up to you to verify that the person is a genuine swapper and that the property would suit you. Neither tenant is obliged to accept anybody’s offer to exchange. Agreement to exchange must be given by both parties. Clúid’s rules and criteria for exchanges will need to be met and the final decision lies with Clúid.
