By sustainable community, we mean a community where as many people as possible are economically active; where the services people need are available; where the neighbourhood is safe and free from anti-social behaviour; where residents feel a sense of belonging and want to stay.
We work in numerous different ways to encourage and facilitate the development of sustainable communities in our housing schemes. View our sustainable communities in this video
Clúid is committed to improving the sustainability of our housing stock, and we are near the end of an extensive programme of retrofit works that aim to improve energy efficiency and thus reduce tenants’ heating costs. We are now planning a programme of more substantial retrofit measures as part of a broader fuel poverty strategy.
