Meet Tommy, Clúid Building and Grounds Assistant
4th Dec, 2020
Over the last eight months Tommy Walker, Clúid’s Dublin based Building and Grounds Assistant, has shown incredible levels of flexibility.
In March, Tommy was due to transfer from working at Clúid’s Belmayne scheme to the new St. Mary’s Mansions scheme. Covid- 19 restrictions however led to delays with Tommy’s transfer.
As lockdown restrictions eased over the summer months, there was plenty of opportunities to avail of Tommy’s support to cover a range of jobs which would have proved costly or not feasible due to time constraints.
During this time Tommy worked across 18 schemes, covering a range of maintenance works such as painting, varnishing, landscaping, deep cleans, signage, skip days and a multitude of light repairs.
In addition to this work, Tommy played an integral role in a communications initiative with Clúid tenants to seek out engagement for a Clúid led research project on financial poverty and exclusion.
Tommy brought his skill, experience and ability to engage positively with tenants to the forefront during these difficult months and Clúid would like to say a big thank you for this!
