National Volunteering Week 2026

National Volunteering Week takes place from 18–24 May, and at Clúid, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate and thank the many residents who volunteer their time to help shape and improve our services.

This year’s theme, “From every corner, for every cause,” feels especially meaningful as we reflect on the strong response we received from residents across the country to our recent call for expressions of interest in our new advisory panels. These panels will bring together a wide range of voices and lived experiences from across Ireland, with a focus on five key areas:

• Communications
• Customer Services
• Policy
• Resident Training Academy
• Diversity and Inclusion

The level of interest shown is a powerful reminder of what resident engagement is all about: making sure residents’ voices are at the heart of what we do. Volunteering is a two-way relationship. Residents give their time, experience and insight, and in return we all benefit from the positive impact their involvement has on improving services.
