83 New Homes
at Sruthán na Sailí, Killarney, Co. Kerry
Clúid is pleased to have delivered 83 new homes for local families and individuals in Sruthán na Sailí, Derreen, Killarney, Co Kerry. These newly constructed homes were developed through Clúid’s Developer Design and Build model, in partnership with Kerry County Council, the Housing Finance Agency (HFA) and Thermohouse.
This newly constructed neighbourhood provides 65 houses and 18 apartments for local people in Killarney. This innovative social housing project not only addresses the need for rapid-build homes but also creates greener, more energy efficient buildings, with lower fuel bills for residents. Sruthán na Sailí homes are within walking distance of a number of playing fields including Killarney Celtic football club and Legion GAA grounds. Local amenities such as shops and services are easily accessible.
Manufacturing took place off-site in Killarney at the Thermohouse factory using their innovative new modular build method. The results include a number of A1 BER eco homes, built 60% faster than traditional methods with a 60 year guarantee. Sruthán na Sailí homes meet the EU’s Zero-Energy Building’ (nZEB) requirements.
