Clúid Pride!

At Clúid, we are committed to our Diversity, Equality, Belonging and Inclusion (DEBI) journey, embedding it across the organisation, in our policies and actions. In 2021, we established our D&I Voices group to formalise our efforts. Since then, the D&I Voices group has gone from strength to strength, achieving the Investors in Diversity Bronze Award from the Irish Centre for Diversity, followed promptly by becoming the first Approved Housing Body (AHB) in Ireland to achieve the Silver Award.

Our most recent focus has been Pride Month in June. The D&I Voices group rolled out a host of exciting activities to send out a strong message of inclusiveness to our LGBTQ+ colleagues, both within Clúid and the organisations we work with.

We started out the month by adding a little more colour than usual to our reception desk and canteen in head office, as well as our social media profiles. We used our online internal channel ‘This is Clúid’ to give our colleagues a little history lesson about the Pride Flag, it’s origins and what it represents.

We offered colleagues a workshop on ‘The ABCs of LGBTQ+’, hosted by Ruadhán Ó Críodáin, the Executive Director of ShoutOut. And to end the month, our Customer Contact Centre team hosted a Rainbow party in the office to tie in with Drag Bingo hosted by the fabulous Davina Devine!
