Millbrook Community Project

In 2023, the Resident Housing Officer for Millbrook, Kanturk, Co. Cork sought funding from the HFA for an exercise area on the green in Millbrook. Her application was successful and in December last year, the project was completed. The open space now has a walking path with adult exercise equipment located along its length. The pieces were selected to ensure that they provided an all-over body work out that engaged the core muscles.

This facility will enhance the usability of this shared open space, create opportunities of interaction between neighbours and member of the wider community while enhancing the fitness and health of our residents.

All in all, it has been a fantastic project supported by the Housing, Property Services, and Resident Engagement teams. We hope that this will build enthusiasm amongst the schemes residents for the other proposals outlined in the original 2016 Report!
