Social Media Community Guidelines

1. Introduction
Clúid work towards a society where everyone has a great place to live.
Our social media channels support this mission by promoting transparent communication, celebrating our communities, and fostering respectful engagement among residents, partners, and the wider public.
These guidelines outline how we expect members of our online communities to behave. By participating on our channels, you help us build safe, inclusive, and constructive spaces for everyone.
Our active social media channels include: LinkedIn, BlueSky, and YouTube.

2. Acceptance of Guidelines
By commenting, posting, tagging, messaging, or otherwise interacting on our social media channels, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines.

3. Community Standards
3.1 Respectful and Constructive Communication
We welcome open discussion, diverse viewpoints, and healthy debate. To ensure conversations remain productive:
• Be respectful, even when you disagree.
• Personal attacks, insults, harassment, intimidation, or hostile behaviour are not permitted.
• Treat all members of our community including, residents, staff, and partners with courtesy.

3.2 Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech or Discrimination
We do not tolerate any content that promotes or encourages:
• racism, sexism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia
• ableism or age based discrimination
• prejudice relating to ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
Content that includes hate speech or discriminatory behaviour will be removed and may result in loss of access to our online communities.

3.3 Privacy and Safety
To protect everyone’s safety:
• Do not post personal or identifying information about yourself or others.
• Do not share names, contact details, addresses, case information, or staff details.
• Private or confidential matters must not be discussed publicly.
We reserve the right to remove content that compromises anyone’s privacy or safety.

3.4 Staying On Topic
To maintain meaningful conversations:
• Keep contributions relevant to housing, community, and our organisational work.
• Spam, promotional material, scams, or repetitive posting are not permitted.
• Explicit, graphic, or NSFW content is strictly prohibited.
Off topic discussions may be redirected or removed.

3.5 Resident Support and Customer Queries
Our social media channels are not customer service platforms.
For any queries relating to repairs, account matters, tenancy issues, or resident support, please contact our Housing Advice Centre:

Moderators cannot access personal account information and are unable to resolve individual resident cases via social media.

3.6 Illegal or Harmful Activities
Posts or comments that reference, encourage, or promote illegal activity, including fraud, violence, piracy, or illicit drug use, are not allowed.
Credible threats may be reported to the relevant authorities.

3.7 Intellectual Property
When sharing content:
• Credit original creators.
• Do not post copyrighted material without permission.
• Only share images, videos, or text you have the right to post.

4. Moderation and Enforcement
Our moderation approach aims to be fair, consistent, and transparent.
We may take the following actions if guidelines are breached:
1. Content removal
2. A warning (where appropriate)
3. Temporary restrictions
4. Permanent blocking or removal from the community
Severe breaches (e.g., hate speech, threats, illegal content) may result in immediate banning without warning.
Moderation decisions are final and may be made at the discretion of Clúid.

• Use the platform’s built in reporting tools, and/or
