Mechanical Engineer (Domestic Heating and Ventilation)
Role Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer (Domestic Heating and Ventilation) is a key role within the Property Services Department, supporting the Asset Management and Clúid Works team in the ongoing development of the service with particular emphasis on modern domestic heating and ventilation systems including Heat Pumps, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery, continuous Mechanical Extract Ventilation, Solar Water heating systems, heating controls and hybrid systems. A sound knowledge of traditional heating systems such as gas and oil boilers is also required.
The Mechanical Engineer (Domestic Heating and Ventilation) will provide leadership on:
- Product specification expertise
- Design and commissioning advice/collaboration
- Supporting accurate servicing and inspection regimes
- Client-side commissioning stage
- M&E due diligence, surveys, and snagging
- Troubleshooting support to in-house repairs team
- In-housing training
- Lead on initiatives to improve area of service for resident experience
