Mediation
A Mediator is an impartial, non-judgemental person/ persons who manage negotiations between disputing parties in a neutral way. The aim is to help the people involved in a dispute to reach an agreement that is acceptable to both sides. The mediator acts as a “go-between” to help re-open channels of communication and assist neighbours in coming to an agreement.
Mediation is proven to work very well in neighbourhood disputes.
Clúid have a number of employees who are professionally trained in Mediation and conflict and dispute resolution. If neighbours cannot come to a resolution themselves, Clúid may offer mediation as a resource to assist neighbours in finding a resolution together.
Residential Tenancies Board
All Clúid tenancies are registered with the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB). The RTB is a public body set up to support and develop a well-functioning rental housing sector. The RTB specialises in Landlord and Tenant dispute resolution. This means that either party can raise a case against the other if they cannot come to a satisfactory resolution.
The RTB offer both adjudication and mediation services. Further details can be found on the RTB website.
